I hate to say it but MML2 is on hard times right now. We have only asked twice before this day (Nov 2008, June 2006) for people to please show their support and donate or we might have to shut down. I understand the hard times a lot of people in the USA and around the world for that matter are experiencing (due to current economic problems), but we are no different. We are struggling to pay the server/co-location bills. This month we have only received 5 donations across our entire network all of which combined were around $100. We do not currently have enough to continue operation of the network. If we are unable to raise enough donations to pay these bills for the month of May, I will have no choice but to shut our network down and either sell our hardware to pay the remaining balance or use the current hardware for some other way to pay these bills.
Again, I truly hate asking this of our community but without your support MML2 will cease to exist. We had our 3rd year anniversary on November of Last year and I was hoping to have more to come. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you can find it in your heart to help us stay online. If you feel we provide a good service FREE to the public, please make a donation now. Any amount matters even if its only $10. We accept Paypal, Credits cards, or Western Union (most supermarkets or post office offer it there). All servers have recently been switched to FAST downloadable maps. This means that now players that do not already have the map when connecting to our servers, download a zipped version of the map from our fast webserver we just put online.. This zipped version of the map is compressed to roughly 10+ times smaller then before. The Source engine is able to unzip these maps automatically, and put them in the appropiate folders on your PC. This means no more waiting at the loading screen for long periods of time if the server switches to a map you don't have! Also this avoids the need for us to have to upload map packs (considering map packs are just zipped versions of the maps as well). Now it's super quick and all automated for ease of use. Enjoy.

The server transfers to the new datacenter have been completed. TF2 and CSS Gungame servers are back online. Please be sure to update your Favorites list with the new IPS. Thank you everyone for your patience during the downtime. Please be sure to spread the word about the IP changes.

Apparently the new update also came with a major bug that seems to crash the servers constantly, this effects ALL TF2 servers, not just ours. So until Valve patches the issue I hope you guys can be a little patient when it comes to crashes.

Seems like the box has stopped responding for some unknown reason. I have submitted a support ticket. I will have it back online as soon as possible. Just waiting for the technician to respond and power cycle the box at the datacenter. Thank you for your patience.

The new server is online. All the stats and ranks were moved over to it today @ 4:15pm PST. The old server will go offline tonight at midnight PST. So please add the new Ip to your favorites and let everyone on the old server know it so they can come join us when the old one goes offline today. The New ip is 67.159.196.222:27015

We will be located at this IP address which was our original IP address until we get our dedicated box deployed. The new dedicated box was purchased today. The specs are "1u Dual Xeon 3.2Ghz CPUS, 4GB DDR2400 ECC Ram, 2 x Western Digital Raptor 10k RPM hard drives in Raid 0, 3ware Raid Card, Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition". We don't currently have the hard drives, the Raid card, and the server only has 2gb of ram, so we still need your support. The sooner we get these parts, the sooner we can deploy the server at the data center and get rid of this poor performance we have been experiencing from the rented server we use right now. But we can't do that without your support. So please donate if you can.

We hope this switch to the new server box will resolve any of the current lag issues we have been seeing on the previous server. Our mission statement at MML2 is to strive to be the best free gaming network around! But lets be honest here, nothing is free in the real world. We pay to build our Servers, pay for our bandwidth fees, pay for webhosting for our websites, pay for the Ventrilo fees. Nothing is free in this world. And our current host that uses shared Hosting and bandwidth with other servers on one BOX (Computer hardware shared between multiple servers) is not the best. Its barely acceptable playing to our standards. So the real question is, "Do you like to play at MML2"?. If so, please consider donating to help us buy a dedicated box that our server can run on. This means LAG free gaming all day, every DAY!
MML2 uses 128 Bit encryption which is very secure! We have a Premier Paypal Business Account and our network has been online for almost 2 year! The new Map pack has been uploaded and is available on the main menu at the top left hand side of the site. This should save tons of time so players wont have to download every map in our rotation. There is 61 maps inside the Pack which are all on our vote list in game.
The download is 49MB zipped and should only take no more then 5 minutes to download depending on your connection.
To install the map pack, follow the instructions below:
You will first need Winrar or Winzip to unzip all the maps out of the archive into your CSS maps folder. You can get Winrar HERE if you don't have a unzipping program. BE SURE YOUR COUNTERSTRIKE IS NOT RUNNING. You can leave steam running but be sure CSS is not running at this point.
1. Download the Pack and open it.
2. Next click "EXTRACT" and Navigate to the following location.
3. If you installed Steam to the default location which is in "Program Files" on your C: Drive then go to that location. If not then go to the location and/or drive that you installed it to.
4. Once you have navigated into the STEAM folder, double click on the "steamapps" folder.
5. Now click on the folder that is your STEAM ACCOUNT login.
6. Now click on the "counter-strike source" folder.
7. Next click on the "cstrike" folder.
8. And lastly click on the "maps" folder and click "OK".
You should see the program unzipping all the maps into this location.Enjoy and see you all in game.

Welcome to the MML2 Counter-Strike Source website! This site will be under construction for the next few weeks while we get everything working and situated. Please be sure to register on our forums and check back here regularly for the latest news, updates, and Map Packs or Map Votes.
Also, if any players from our CSS Servers play any MMORPG's, be sure to check out the main MML2 site for the game Lineage 2 which offers free servers open to the public to play on. You can find the main website at www.MML2.net
Lastly, MML2 hopes to expand our public game servers to other games as well. If you play a game currently and would like MML2 to host a game like this, let us know on the forums and we will look into it. Thanx
